It has to be noted that the EPFO has launched the 'Nirbadh Sewa' under which the subscribers will get Pension Payment Order (PPO) on the date of retirement.

The EPFO has further noted that monthly webinar on 'Prayaas an endeavour to release PPO on the day of retirement' are being organised in all regional offices. The employees retiring within three months are being invited to the webinar for guidance and training along with the employers. It has to be noted that this facility will benefit about three lakh employees retiring every year.
Pension Payment Order (PPO) is a unique 12-digit number that enables pensioners to receive their pension. PPO number acts a reference for any communication with Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO) along with the Life Certificate, which is required to submit every year.
The pensioners must note that they need to follow some simple steps in case of PPO enquiry and payment enquiry. They are as follows:
Step 1: The individuals will have to login to the official website of EPFO at epfindia.gov.in
Step 2: The individuals will then have to select the 'Pensioners' Portal' which is present on the left of the home page
Step 3: A new page will open
Step 4: The individuals will now have to select the PPO Enquiry/ Payment Enquiry link
Step 5: Now, they will have to select the issued office and the office ID. After that they will have to enter the PPO number and the pensioner's date of birth. Then they will have to enter the given text and click on 'Submit'
In case of any further details and query, the pensioners will have to login to the official website of EPFO at epfindia.gov.in.
