Gold Price Today: On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), Gold October futures were down by 0.31 percent at Rs 51,319 per 10 grams. Likewise, Silver September futures were also trading lower at Rs 55,145 per kg. The metal was down by 0.63 percent on Monday at 11:35.

Supported by receding crude prices in global markets and weakness in the American currency overseas, the Rupee appreciated 4 paise to 79.80 against the US dollar in opening trade on Monday.

At the interbank foreign exchange, the domestic unit opened lower at 79.90 against the dollar but recovered lost ground to quote 79.80, registering a gain of 4 paise over its previous close.
