Jharkhand Krishi Rin Mafi Yojana: The Jharkhand government has launched a Jharkhand Krishi Rin Mafi Yojana to reduce the loan burden of farmers. Under this scheme, the loans of those farmers who are unable to repay their loans are being waived. Under the scheme, the state government will waive loans up to Rs. 50,000 per farmer. The scheme was launched on February 1, 2021.
 
The objective of this scheme is to provide relief from the loan burden to short-term loan-holding farmers of Jharkhand. The aim is to improve the loan eligibility of crop loan holders, ensure the availability of new crop loans, stop the migration of the farming community, and strengthen the agricultural economy.
 

Jharkhand Krishi Rin Mafi Yojana:Features
 

  • The details of the standard KCC loan covered by an Aadhaar Card and Ration Card are being uploaded by the bank on the loan waiver portal.
  • Standard crop loans till March 31, 2020, will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme.
  • The outstanding amount up to Rs 50,000 in 'Standard Crop Loan' outstanding accounts as on March 31, 2020 will be waived off.
  • The scheme will be implemented online through a web portal.
  • With online implementation, there will be minimum contact between the applicant and the officials.
  •  Identification of the correct beneficiaries using the applicant's Aadhaar number and paperless application process.
  •  Easy online application process
  • The process of receiving applications is being done through the Common Service Centre (CSC) and banks so that the applicants can get the facility of the scheme near their homes.
  •  Repayment of outstanding loan through DBT.
  • Grievances of applicants will be resolved through online mediums.

 

Jharkhand Krishi Rin Mafi Yojana: Eligiblity
 

  • They must be permanent residents of Jharkhand
  • The small and marginal farmers who have taken the loan using the Kisan Credit Card
  • Must be a farmer who self-cultivates his/her land OR a farmer who cultivates on leased land
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Only 1 farmer per family is allowed for a loan waiver
  • The loan must have been availed from banks before March 31, 2020.
