SBI WhatsApp Banking Registration Number: The State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest lender, is now on WhatsApp. The bank is offering a host of banking services to its customers via WhatsApp. The bank in a Tweet said that customers can check their account balance and get mini statements via WhatsApp. SBI customers who wish to opt for the WhatsApp banking facility will have to register first.

SBI customers can register to use WhatsApp Banking service. To register on WhatsApp, type WAREG and then your account number separated by a space and send an SMS to 7208933148.

Customers should take note that you have to send this SMS from the number which is registered in your SBI bank account. Customers sending SMS from mobile number that is not registered with the bank account won't be entertained by the bank.
Successful customers will receive a message from 90226 90226 on WhatsApp. Customers will not have to respond to the message received on WhatsApp with a ‘Hi’ text.
Once the entire registration process is done, customers will be able to check their bank account balances and access mini statements.
Once the registered customer sends Hi, he/she will receive this message: "Dear Customer, Welcome to SBI Whatsapp Banking Services! Please choose from any of the options below. 1. Account Balance 2. Mini Statement 3. De-register from WhatsApp Banking"

The customer will have to send ‘1’ to check the account balance; ‘2’ to get mini statement of the account; '3' to de-register with SBI WhatsApp Banking.
Besides SBI, other banks like ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, IDFC First Bank and Axis Bank also offer WhatsApp banking services to their customers.
SBI Credit Card WhatsApp Number
The State Bank of India also provides services to SBI credit card holders on WhatsApp.
SBI credit card holders can track reward points, unpaid balances and account overviews on WhatsApp. To start SBI credit card service on WhatsApp, SBI credit card holders will have to send an 'OPTIN' text to 90040 22022 on WhatsApp.
SBI credit card holders can also sign up by giving a missed call at 08080945040. For this, they will have to ensure that the number being used for a missed call is registered with the bank.
