Paytm Mall brings offline shopkeepers to online platform; provides them QR code to expand reach

In order to empower local shop owners to expand their reach and enable customers to buy products online from trusted shopkeepers, e-commerce firm Paytm Mall has announced on Wednesday of providing them QR code solution.

Essentially, Paytm Mall's QR code solution will help shopowners to get instant discovery for their products, order and payment while it will help customers to discover local shops and order from their catalogue.

With the Paytm Mall's QR Code solution, customers will be able to scan it at shops to browse their products and place an order thereby creating a smoother discovery and buying experience.

"Paytm Mall’s Offline-to-Online (O2O) platform will contribute towards the growth for every stakeholder in the retail ecosystem including shopkeepers and brands. Retailers also get access to valuable customer analytics for better targeting of existing users," Paytm Mall said in a press release.

"This will empower local shops to get additional revenues from customers who will be able to buy their products online on the Paytm Mall platform," it said.

Speaking on the introduction of QR Code solution in shops, Paytm Mall chief operating officer Amit Sinha, said, "Vast majority of commerce in our country is still conducted offline and within an ecosystem of trusted local merchants, influencers and consumers. We look forward to help shopkeepers expand their reach and empower millions of trusted small store owners across the country."

Other than the benefit of buying products from their local trusted retailers customers can also get access to same day or next day delivery, Paytm Mall said.

They will soon have the option to get products delivered from the store as well as pick them from the store directly.

Additionally, customers who walk into the shops to scan the Paytm Mall QR code will be able to follow the store, place orders and get exciting offers.

Paytm Mall is a shopping app and e-commerce website of mobile and e-commerce payments company Paytm.
