WhatsApp update: WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging application in world, is reportedly planning to launch major updates on its platform for the users. According to a new report, the meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that lets some beta testers forward images, videos, GIFs, and documents, with a caption, on WhatsApp Desktop beta.
"Thanks to this feature, you can keep the caption of your images, videos, GIFs, and documents, while the forwarding process. The feature has also released on iOS beta after installing the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.23.0.72 update and it is finally available to some beta testers that install the latest version of WhatsApp Desktop beta," WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, reported.
As per the screenshots shared by the WABetaInfo, a new caption view shows up when you try to forward an image, video, GIFs, and document, with a caption. With the new caption view, you can easily understand if the caption will be attached to the new message when it will be forwarded to chats you choose in this section.

In addition, you have control over forwarding the media since you can decide to remove the caption by tapping the dismiss button. In case the feature is not available for your WhatsApp account, please wait for a future update where the feature will be widely released to more users.
The ability to forward media with a caption has been released to some beta testers after installing the WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2245.5 update and it is rolling out to more users over the coming days, the report noted.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp has released one of the most awaited Polls feature for users. According to the company, this new feature is now available to everyone on iOS and Android. It can be used in both group chats and in individual chats.
The WhatsApp Polls feature allows you to create a poll with up to 12 options as answers. Anyone can vote for any options that are available as answers, which means a person can vote for one or all options. The feature was reported to work in groups previously but it now also works in personal/individual chats.
