iQOO 12 to be first non-Pixel phone to ship with Android 14 - Details

It has already been confirmed that the iQOO 12 is going to be the first commercial phone in India to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

The company has now shared more information related to the upcoming device. The company has confirmed that iQOO 12 will come with Android 14-based Funtouch OS. This makes the smartphone the first non-Pixel phone in India to ship with Android 14.

"It comes with all the benefits introduced in the new Android version, with a unique iQOO twist to deliver an enhanced, always-smooth user experience. iQOO 12 will be the first non-pixel smartphone to give Android 14 out of the box," the company said.

According to iQOO, the smartphone will come with new enhanced multitasking features.

For instance, it will have a new non-interactive mini small window mode that will allow users to focus on one app and monitor the other simultaneously. It will also have a new App Retainer feature to ensure whitelisted apps that have not been closed manually are always restored to the last interface so users can easily continue where they left off.
