Oppo Pad Air Review: In a bid to meet the demands of tablet consumers in India, the Global technology brand Oppo recently launched its first tablet in the country -- Oppo Pad Air, which comes at affordable price range. This budget tablet is competing with Realme Pad X, Motorola Moto Tab G62 and other affordable tablets present in the market. The starting price of Oppo Pad Air is Rs 16,999 for a version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is available at Rs 19,999. The tablet has a sleek metal body and comes in Grey colour option.

We used this tablet from Oppo for more than a month and here's what I have to say about this tablet. In its first attempt, I can say that the Oppo Pad Air tablet looks promising and it may give tough competition to rival brands in the Indian market. The key highlights of Oppo Pad Air tablet is Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, Dolby Atmos support, four speakers, and 7,100mAh battery and more. With the appealing design, this Oppo tablet at this price point ensures quick attention from potential buyers in the counytry , especially if you're a student and Gen Z. This newly launched Oppo tablet is designed in such a way that even after spending long hours -- playing games, watching web series, and doing multiple tasks, the tablet kept working smoothly and gave us a lag-free experience.

The Oppo Pad Air feels quite compact, and it is an extremely lightweight tablet, easy to carry and you can hold it in hands for long hours comfortably. The tablet has a sleek metal body. The back panel looks premium. The metal body is integrated with a layer of glittering matte finish. The device is very slim (245.08mm x 154.84mm x 6.94mm) and weighs just 440grams. In terms of design and outlook, this Oppo Pad Air has almost ticked all the right option.
On the top right side of the tablet, the Oppo Pad Air houses power and volume control buttons when held horizontally. There is a small sim tray on the top edge only for a microSD card. The display has a thin bezel for a tablet, with rounded cutouts around the corners that match the curvature of the tablet's frame. There are four speaker grilles on either side and the USB Type-C port sits on the right. Connectivity options on the Oppo Pad Air include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and magnetometer. Also, the tablet supports the face recognition feature as well.

Oppo Pad Air comes with a 10.36-inch display with a 2,000x1,200 pixels resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The display offers a pixel density of 225ppi and a brightness of up to 360 nits. The display is TUV Rheinland-certified for low blue light as wellThere's a punch-hole camera in the top center of the display. The display size of the Oppo tablet is good and comfortable. In fact, colors and brightness on the screen was up to the mark, overall our viewing and gaming experience was smooth. In terms of camera specifications and performance, the device has features a single 8-megapixel camera sensor at the back, with an f/2.0 lens. For selfies and video chats, it sports a 5-megapixel camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.2 lens. The front camera takes clear and bright selfies.In fact, 8MP rear camera captured some good pictures. The rear camera shoots detailed images as well. The tablet is quite good for your video calls, office meetings, and more.

While watch movies and web series on several OTT platforms including Zee5 and Netflix and playing games like Temple Run, Subway Surfers, and other games, and performing regular tasks like switching between the apps, this tablet didn't lag and worked smoothly. The overall viewing and gaming experience was fine and lag-free.
Oppo Pad Air Battery
In terms of battery performance, Oppo Pad Air is backed by a massive 7100mAh mega battery with 18W fast charging, which ensures that you can do your work for hours without worrying about frequent charging. On less than normal usage, this Oppo Pad Air tablet lasted for more than two days on a single charge. However, the battery of this tablet drained very fast on heavy usage and gaming. Also we did face heating issues during heavy usage as well. Overall, the battery performance was average.
Oppo Pad Air Verdict - Available at a staring price of Rs 16,999, the Oppo Pad Air tablet is one of the promising tablets available in the Indian market. It is designed to meet the demands of budget tablet users in India. The device is a good performer that offers many features at a decent price range.
