Samsung Galaxy M51 confirmed to launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset on Sep 10

Samsung has finally decided to ditch the Exynos chipset for its upcoming ‘M’ series smartphone. The company has confirmed that Samsung Galaxy M51, which is scheduled for September 10 launch, will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset.

Samsung has finally decided to ditch the Exynos chipset for its upcoming ‘M’ series smartphone. The company has confirmed that Samsung Galaxy M51, which is scheduled for September 10 launch, will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset. Even though the company hasn’t given its reasons for the switch, it could be the consistent criticism for below performance of the Exynos processors.

The company will announce the Samsung Galaxy M51 price and the first sale date during the launch event. The smartphone comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED+ Infinity-O display with a centered hole-punch cutout.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 730G chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Galaxy M51 features a quad camera setup that includes a 64MP primary camera, a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. At the front, the phone gets a 32MP selfie camera.

The biggest highlight of the phone though is its massive 7,000mAh battery which promises to deliver up to 64 hours of talk time, 32 hours of video playtime, and 182 hours of music playback on a single charge. The phone supports 25W fast charging and runs on Android 10-based One UI 2.0 out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy M51 price in Germany is 360 Euro (Rs 31,400). However, you can expect it to be priced more aggressively in India.

Last month, Samsung had launched the Galaxy M31s in India. The Galaxy M31s succeeds this year’s Galaxy M31. It comes with the same 6000 mAh battery but packs a 25W-in box charger (usually found in more premium Samsung smartphones) and is also equipped with 64MP Intelli-Cam with Single Take Feature.
