Samsung’s highly ambitious foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G went up for pre-bookings on Friday afternoon. Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 5G will sell in the country for Rs 1,49,999, which is less than last year’s Galaxy Fold that had launched at Rs 1.64 lakh.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 5G will sell in the country for Rs 1,49,999, which is less than last year’s Galaxy Fold that had launched at Rs 1.64 lakh. The pre-booking for next generation foldable smartphone started at 12 pm on September 14.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset in the country. This is currently the most powerful processor and also used on the recently launched Tab S7+.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G features

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.5 on top and features a 7.6-inch full-HD+ foldable, dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 22.5:18 aspect ratio. There is also a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Flex Display with 816x2,260 pixels resolution and 25:9 aspect ratio on the cover.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC, coupled with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. You'll also get 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage that isn't expandable via microSD card.

For photos and videos, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with the triple rear camera setup that houses a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 telephoto lens. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also comes with 10-megapixel selfie camera sensors on both cover screen as well as main display with an f/2.2 lens.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports fast charging, wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare.
