The price of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also expected to be around 22 percent lower than the predecessor at 1.28 million won (around Rs 83,000).
The latest strategy apparently comes in line with Samsung's effort to boost sales of its foldable smartphones and gain advantages in terms of the price as its archrival Apple Inc. is also set to unveil new models later this year. Samsung is expected to announce its release of the two smartphones, along with other accessories on August 11, the IANS reported.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to feature a larger external display of 1.83 inches. It has a dual-camera system, which reportedly includes a 12MP main snapper and a 12MP ultrawide snapper.
Earlier, the price of the global smartphone brand Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 allegedly leaked online. According to a report from the news agency IANS, Galaxy Z Fold 3 can be priced between KRW 1,900,000 (around Rs 1,23,605) and KRW 1,999,000 (around Rs 1,30,045) and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will retail between KRW 1,200,000 (around Rs 78,066) and KRW 1,280,000 (around Rs 83270.79)
The latest pricing info comes from a post on the South Korean forum Naver Blog and corroborates earlier reports of a 20 per cent price cut compared to the previous generation of Samsung foldables. The report also mentions that Samsung sees this year's folding duo as mass popularizers for the folding form factors, the IANS said.
