Amazon Echo Link, Echo Link Amp launched in India: Price, features

Amazon has launched the Echo Link and Echo Link Amp in India. Both the devices were launched on Wednesday and are claimed to deliver high fidelity streaming music to your stereo system. Echo Link is priced at Rs 19,999 and the Echo Link Amp is available at Rs 29,999.

The devices allow customers to upgrade their stereo system and use Alexa with a compatible Echo device to voice control music selection, volume, and playback. Source - Amazon.

Amazon has launched the Echo Link and Echo Link Amp in India. Both the devices were launched on Wednesday and are claimed to deliver high fidelity streaming music to your stereo system. Echo Link is priced at Rs 19,999 and the Echo Link Amp is available at Rs 29,999. Both the devices are currently available on Amazon India for pre-ordering. The devices allow customers to upgrade their stereo system and use Alexa with a compatible Echo device to voice control music selection, volume, and playback. "Music is a big use case for customers using Alexa. Echo Link and the Echo Link Amp will help enhance this experience with high quality, immersive sound experience as well as a seamless integration of all key music sources in your home," said Parag Gupta, Head, Amazon Devices, India.

How Echo Link works?

The device connects to a receiver, an amplifier or directly to powered speakers using one of the on-device analog, optical, or coaxial output jacks. It has a subwoofer line-output with adjustable crossover frequency, and a 3.5mm amplified headphone jack. Apart from this, the device also has analog, optical, and coaxial line-inputs to connect and play music from another audio component, like a CD player, amplified turntable or MP3 player.

How Echo Link Amp works?

The device has the same features as the Echo Link plus a built-in 60W per channel stereo amplifier with left-right speaker binding posts for wiring directly to non-powered speakers. It connects directly to passive speakers. Both Echo Link and Echo Link Amp have volume knobs for granular control and an Ethernet port for reliable connectivity.

Once the devices are set up, they can be sued to create speaker groups where users can ask Alexa to play their favorite music or turn the volume up. Also, when connected to Echo Link or Echo Link Amp, your existing audio system can be added to a Multi-Room Music group for streaming music playback in multiple rooms. You can even create an everywhere group to hear music throughout your entire home.
