Apple October event 2022: After launching its latest iPhone 14 series smartphone in September, the US-based tech giant Apple is likely preparing to launch updated iPad Pro, Mac mini, and 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models at October event.
According to a report from MacRumors, Apple appears to have three product updates on the roster for the remainder of 2022: updated 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with the M2 chip, an updated Mac mini with M2 and unannounced "M2 Pro" chip options, and updated 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.
The company announced the M2 chip in June for the redesigned MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro. Other than the new chip, the updates to the Macs and iPads will be relatively incremental upgrades with no major design changes for the products. The company is expected to host the launch event around October 15. However, this is just a speculation ad we advise our readers to wait for the official announcement.

Also, the 10th generation of iPad with A14 chip is expected this fall, that will feature an all-new design that mimics the iPad Pro in terms of a flat design. The iPad Pro may also come with wireless charging with MagSafe and mini LED, backlighting for the 11-inch iPad Pro.
Meanwhile, More reports have now surfaced that Apple may replace the current "Pro Max" branding next year with the top-end iPhone 15 series, calling it "Ultra". The "Pro Max" branding appeared for the first time with the iPhone 11 series in 2019.
The company has already launched a rugged Watch Ultra and now has 'M1 Ultra' processor. According to supply chain analyst Ross Young, the 'Dynamic Island' feature could arrive on all iPhone 15 models. The company has reportedly started testing the new USB-C feature owing to the European Union's new law that requires all new phones to have USB-C ports by 2024.
