Bard Vs ChatGPT: How they differ from each other
Bard Vs ChatGPT: The one factor that really makes Bard a strong competitor is its ability to draw responses from the internet.
Bard Vs ChatGPT: Google recently announced ChatGPT competitor 'Bard' and it is now opened up access as an early experiment for users to collaborate with generative AI. The company said that early access is being rolled out in countries like the United States and the United Kingdom and will be expanded to other countries over time. While Bard is placed directly against Microsoft-backed OpenAI’s ChatGPT, there are some major differences between the two. Let’s quickly have a look at them:
Difference between Bard and ChatGPT
OpenAI’s ChatGPT is capable of creating even complex code. Not only this, ChatGPT can even debug code. On the other hand, this feature is not available with Bard and Google has said that it is still learning code.
The one factor that really makes Bard a strong competitor is its ability to draw responses from the internet. This simply means the responses that one will get are always updated and the latest. Moreover, Bard can provide links to the website in its response. On the other hand, ChatGPT draws responses from its knowledge base and it has a cutoff date of September 2021.

ChatGPT too has certain features that are far ahead of its closest competitor Bard. This is proficiency in different languages. ChatGPT knows several languages like Arabic, Spanish, Korean and Italian. Contrary to this, Bard is capable of understanding and responding only in English.
ChatGPT only produces one response to questions but Bard creates several different versions. Also, Bard allows users to interact with Bard by asking questions and also let them refine their responses with follow-up questions.
Bard currently has limited ability to retain context. On the other hand, ChatGPT is able to remember what was said in previous conversations.
It is to be noted that Alphabet, the parent company of Google, lost $100 billion in market value after Bard incorrectly answered a question during a promotional video.
