Big Diwali sale: Is Flipkart really offering the iPhone 7 for cheap?

Flipkart has put out offers on the iPhone 7 in its Diwali season sales. However the offer may not be as attractive as it seems.

In its Big Diwali sale, Flipkart has laid out offers on the iPhone 7 32GB phone.

On Flipkart’s homepage the phone has been listed as Rs 36,999. The fine print under the sign reads ‘Inclusive extra Rs 2,000 off on exchange.’

However when you click on the offer the same phone is listed at Rs 38,999, which is what Flipkart was selling the phone for initially before the Diwali sale began.

A similar line reads on the page that says, “Extra Rs 2000 over Regular Exchange (Price shown inclusive of offer).”

The company has not responded to Zeebiz queries and this story will be updated with company comments when they are received.

Flipkart is also offering up to Rs 22,000 off on its ‘Buy with Exchange’ deal which effectively brings down price of the iPhone 7 to Rs 16,999.

However the site will only offer the full Rs 22,000 to those customers willing to exchange their iPhone 7 Plus, which is a model with higher specifications than the iPhone 7.

Amazon India on the other hand was offering the iPhone 7 for Rs 37,999 on Saturday.
