Fitbit launches heart rate tracking wristband Alta HR; starts pre-sale on Amazon India at nearly Rs 15,000
Fitbit on Monday launched fitness wristband Alta HR that tracks heart rate and sleeping patterns of individuals.
Highlights:1. Alta HR is a continuous heart rate tracking device which combines the benefits of PurePulse heart rate technology, automatic exercise recognition, sleep tracking, up to seven days battery life and smart notifications in a slim, versatile design that is easily customised to fit your style
2. Alta HR is available for pre-order starting from Monday this week on Amazon.in for Rs 14,999 from March 15 to March 31 this year

Fitbit has launched fitness wristband Alta HR that tracks heart rate and sleeping patterns of individuals.
The fitness wrist band has Sleep Stages feature which utilises heart rate variability to estimate the amount of time you spend in light, deep and REM sleep, as well as time awake each night to better understand your sleep quality.

Similarly, it has Sleep Insights which uses the whole of your Fitbit data to provide personalised guidance on how to improve your sleep for better overall health.
"Fitbit Alta HR is the world’s slimmest wrist-based, continuous heart rate tracking device combining the benefits of PurePulse heart rate technology, automatic exercise recognition, sleep tracking, up to seven days battery life and smart notifications in a slim, versatile design that is easily customised to fit your style,” cited Fitbit in a press release on Monday.

“Alta HR and these powerful new sleep features demonstrate our continued focus on evolving our innovative technology to deliver deeper, more actionable insights to help our users improve their health,” Fitbit co-founder and chief executive officer James Park, said in a statement.
“The miniaturisation of our PurePulse heart rate technology opens up exciting opportunities for future generations of devices and new form factors. Our advances in sleep will provide millions of users around the globe accessibility to invaluable insights that previously could be obtained only through expensive lab tests,” Park added.
Alta HR is available for pre-order starting from Monday this week on Amazon.in for Rs 14,999 from March 15 to March 31 this year.
Besides, Alta HR will be available exclusively on Amazon.in from April 1 to April 15.
The wristband will be available across all major Indian retailers including Reliance Digital, Croma, Helios and Vijay Sales retail stores from April 16.
The Alta HR will come in five band options namely-Classic band, Special Edition band in Gun Metal and Rose Gold, Luxury Leather Band, Luxury Metal Bracelet and Special Tory Burch Edition.
