Honor Sport Pro Bluetooth earphones review: The wireless earphone segment is fast-growing with several options at almost all price points. The segment has received further boost as more smartphone makers are moving away from the idea of an audio jack. Even as you have several truly wireless earbuds available, the Bluetooth earphones remain in demand. One of the latest to launch one in India is the Chinese smartphone company - Honor.

The earphones come in three gradient shades - phantom red, phantom grey and phantom purple. We had the phantom grey colour model for review purposes. It’s probably the most dull option of all but design and colour is something subjective and comes down to personal preference.
The Honor Sport Pro feature and Apple AirPod-like design with a silicone fitting on top. You will have to find the right size ear tips to ensure that the earphones fit well.
At this point, I would want to address another design element. Honor has opted for braided cables unlike the usual wiring. The wires are similar to what we see on Huawei FreeLace. The earphones are tangle free, which is a welcome move, but they don’t give you the most premium feel. The build quality nevertheless, seems good and it will come down to personal preference that will make you like it... or not.
The control buttons are right on top of the cable.
The earphones come with IPX5 rating which means you can use the earphones during workout sessions without having to worry about the sweat. Still, I did have a tough time ensuring that earcups don’t come out while running.
The other notable features on the earphones include 18 hours of playback, fast charging and instant pairing with other devices. One really good thing Honor has done with these earphones is that you get a Type-C USB connector on them. This is revealed when you pull the volume buttons. The connector allows you to juice up the earphones directly by connecting them to a charger.
Coming to performance, Honor claims to have used a 3mm high-sensitivity driver to offer better sound with superior bass and treble. The earphones produce fine audio for a device at this price point. Just like most earphones in this range, the bass is slightly on the higher side. This makes the earphones ideal for listening to bass-heavy songs - the vocal-driven songs don’t sound that impressive.
There is not much distortion when the volume is on the higher side though. I used the earphones to listen to a few podcasts and stream a few episodes, apart from listening to music. The audio output was equally good.
One let down here is the absence of noise cancellation. So, when you are on the road or in traffic, the music will be interrupted by the ambiance sound.
There is also voice assistant on the earphones that can be used to add a schedule, send message, set an alarm, etc
Honor Sport Pro Bluetooth earphones review: Final Verdict
The Honor Sport Bluetooth earphones offer fine audio and adequate battery life with an unusual yet effective design. They are slightly on the bass-heavy side with poor noise isolation. Even though there is a massive competition at this price point, the Honor Sport Pro Bluetooth earphones manage to make a good case for themselves.
