News of Microsoft on Monday planning to bring an end to MS Paint application with its Windows 10 Fall Creators update sent ripples among several online. There were several posts on social media saying RIP MS Paint and Microsoft an overwhelming response for the program.
The company had to finally come out and say that MS Paint is here to stay and that art app is not going anywhere. It is in fact going to be available for free on the Windows Store. This means that users can directly download the MS Paint application from the app store.
On Windows Store the MS Pain will be available as Paint 3D, a new app for creativity. Back in April, Microsoft in its Windows 10 Creators Update unveiled the new 3D Paint application.
It now includes some 2D image editing tools and 3D image creating tools but looked quite different from the traditional MS Paint.
The company further said that the app will now get updated with some of the features from the MS Paint software. The app will further be available for free with the Windows 10 Creator Update.
Besides MS Paint some of the other programs that will not be available in the new update will be the 3D Builder app, Outlook Express, Reader app, Screen saver functionality in Themes and a few others.
