Just days after the smartphone was leaked online, Vivo V17 has been launched in India. The smartphone is now listed on company's official website. The smartphone comes with an AI triple camera setup and a massive 5000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. It has a waterdrop-style notch, and a rear fingerprint scanner as well. The smartphone will be powered by the Helio P35 processor and is available in India in two colour options - Mineral Blue and Mystic Purple. Even though there is no official confirmation about the price, a report by GSMArena, the smartphone could be purchase at a starting price of Rs 17,990 from company's offline store.
Vivo Y17 features and specifications
The smartphone sports a waterdrop-shaped notch, and a slight chin at the bottom of the display. It has a gradient metal finish at the back and a triple lens setup aligned vertically along with the fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 and supports dual-SIM slots.
It comes with a 6.35-inch (720x1544 pixels) HD+ LCD display with 19.3:9 aspect ratio and 89 percent screen-to-body ratio. Vivo Y17 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor paired with 4GB RAM. Internal storage is at 128GB. The USP of the phone is its AI-based triple camera setup at the back – with one 13-megapixel sensor (f/2.2 aperture), another 8-megapixel sensor (f/2.2 aperture), and a last 2-megapixel sensor (f/2.4 aperture). The rear camer supports PDAF, time-lapse, HDR, AI Face Beauty, and super wide angle mode.

On front, Vivo Y17 sports a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and features like gender detection, panorama, face beauty, live photo, HDR, portrait, AI face beauty and camera filters.
Connectivity options include dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Micro-USB with OTG, GPS and FM radio. Other key features the phone brings is the 18W fast charging for the monstrous 5,000 mAh battery, the biggest power cell vivo has ever put in a smartphone.
