Vodafone partners with Flipkart to bring effectively priced 4G smartphone under Rs 1,000
The offer is valid from 24th of January 2018 to the 31st of March 2018.
More bundled smartphones have started entering the market as India’s second largest operator, Vodafone India, has now partnered with Flipkart for this feat.
The e-commerce giant has an ad flashing on its website that reads ‘My first 4G smartphone’ for Rs 999.
In association with Vodafone, Flipkart is offering entry level smartphones like iVoomi Me4, Yu Yunique 2, iVoomi i1, Yu Yunique 2 Plus, Alcatel, Swipe, Intex, Xolo and iVoomi i1S.

Like most other bundled feature and smartphone offers, this offer also entails a cashback after successful recharge on the operator’s network.
“Any existing or new Vodafone prepaid customer purchasing amongst the set of eligible entry level 4G smartphones listed in the Annexure below will be eligible to get a cashback of Rs 2000 over 36 months,” Flipkart said.
Customers will have to buy eligible devices on Flipkart, and recharge on Vodafone’s network for a span of 36 months in total. They will then receive a cashback.
Customers will have to do a recharge of at least Rs 150 per month for 36 months on Vodafone’s network. The recharges can be of any denomination totalling to a minimum of Rs 150 per month. At the end of 18 months, customers will receive a cashback of Rs 900 and after another 18 months, a cashback of Rs 1,100 respectively, which takes the total cashback amount to Rs 2,000.
Any recharge is applicable and will be counted towards the Rs 150 amount – i.e. top ups, rate cutters, voice sachets, data sachets, integrated bundles, combo packs, unlimited recharges, first recharges.
And where might customers receive this cashback? Vodafone Mpesa app, the company’s e-wallet.
“Customer has to download the Mpesa app. And post download, customer needs to create the mPesa account and fulfil mPesa requirements to have a live account,” Flipkart said.
The offer is valid from 24th of January 2018 to the 31st of March 2018.
