Windows 11 Launch: Tech giant Microsoft is all set to host a Windows event later tonight. The company is likely to announce the next generation Windows dubbed Windows 11 at the virtual launch event today. The upcoming Windows 11 will be a follow up of the existing Windows 10, which was rolled out in 2015.

Windows 11 Launch: Tech giant Microsoft is all set to host a Windows event later tonight. The company is likely to announce the next generation Windows dubbed Windows 11 at the virtual launch event today. The upcoming Windows 11 will be a follow up of the existing Windows 10, which was rolled out in 2015.

Microsoft will host its Windows 11 launch event at 11 am ET, which is around 8:30 pm IST in India today. The event will be streamed live online the company’s YouTube as well as social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook.

While the tech giant is yet to reveal details about the upcoming/next-generation Windows, a leak has revealed a major design overhaul. Microsoft has not yet publicly confirmed the Windows 11 name, but the company has been teasing its “new version of Windows” for the last few days. 

The official invite suggested the moniker by showing a window with a shadow that has an outline depicting the number 11. Recently, Microsoft recently released a video teaser with the startup sound of the new Windows version. That video was 11 minutes in length, indicating the launch of Windows 11. Moreover, the ISO that was leaked online suggested the Windows 11 nomenclature as the successor to Windows 10.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is ending an expanded refund policy on July 6 that the company implemented for Cyberpunk 2077 following its buggy launch in December 2020. 

Like many other retailers, Microsoft allowed customers to claim a full refund for those who bought the game from the Microsoft Store. At the time, the company said the policy would be in place "until further notice". However, that is now changing, The Verge reported on Tuesday.
