iQOO Neo7 Pro 5G review: The screen is quite vibrant in both indoor as well as outdoor conditions and offers a peak brightness of 1300 nits.
iQOO Neo7 Pro 5G review: iQOO launched Neo7 only a few months back and here we have the new offering by the smartphone manufacturer - the iQOO Neo7 Pro. The smartphone is available in two RAM and storage variants i.e. 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB and priced at Rs 33,999 and Rs 36,999 respectively. iQOO Neo 7 Pro looks really impressive on paper as it comes loaded with specs like double chipset, 120W fast charging, triple camera setup and much more. But do these features make it a worthy deal? Let's find out in our review.
iQOO Neo7 Pro 5G review: Design
The smartphone is available in two colour variants - Dark Storm and Fearless Flame. We received the former as a review unit. This colour variant is for those who want subtle and dark colours. Fearless Flame is designed for those who prefer vibrant colours. The Dark Storm variant uses polycarbonate material and AR or Anti-Glare glass at the back. The device feels really sturdy in the hand thanks to the slightly curved edges and the matte finish further adds to its premium look and feel. The back of the device is smudge and fingerprint resistant. The square-ish dual-tone camera module looks elegant and doesn't protrude.
In terms of weight, the device weighs 199.5 grams and is 8.50mm thick.

The colours are quite vibrant and detailed and content consumption on the device was an enjoyable experience. The overall media and gaming experience was enhanced by the presence of dual stereo speakers.
iQOO Neo7 Pro 5G review: Performance and software
This is one field where iQOO Neo7 Pro really shines. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and that says it all. Be it the Antutu score or Geekbench score, it comes out with flying colours in every benchmark test. Finding such configuration in a device priced below Rs 40,000 is not easy.
Regular tasks can be performed with ease on this smartphone and even the gaming was fun - thanks to a dedicated gaming chip. What this additional chip basically does is it forces extra frames in games, which makes sure that you get the highest possible FPS for a longer period of time. On top of that, iQOO Neo7 Pro comes with extended RAM 3.0 that helps in extending the 12GB RAM by an additional 8GB.
In terms of software, the smartphone boots on FunTouchOS 13 based on Android 13. While it has a lot of options for customisation, it does come with some bloatware.
iQOO Neo7 Pro 5G review: Battery and charging
iQOO Neo7 Pro comes with a 5,000mAh battery and supports incredibly fast 120W charging. It is capable of juicing up the smartphone from zero to 100 per cent in just around 30 minutes. Moreover, it takes only 10 minutes to charge the battery from zero to 50 per cent.
iQOO Neo7 Pro 5G review: Camera
iQOO Neo7 Pro comes with a triple-camera module and has a 50MP primary sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and 2MP super macro camera. For selfies, the smartphone has a 16MP punch-hole camera on the front.

The device is capable of clicking good images during daylight with good dynamic range and details. While images mostly look bright, the colour and warmth are also quite good. Skin tone sometimes looks soft but some users would likely prefer it that way. The performance of an 8MP ultra-wide camera is average and 2MP macro camera is not very useful. Portrait images are good too but you may at times find edge detection a bit inaccurate. iQOO Neo7 Pro clicks satisfactory images in low light.
Selfies clicked with iQOO Neo7 Pro are also good and you won't hesitate while sharing it on social media platforms.
iQOO Neo7 Pro 5G review: Verdict
There is no doubt that it is one of the most powerful smartphones available in this price range. Also, you get 120W superfast charging, a decent camera and a display. Except for the design, which was already seen in its predecessor iQOO Neo7, everything is worth trying.
