OnePlus Pad Go review: OnePlus recently launched its second tablet, the first mid-level, in the market. The first tablet by the company was launched at around Rs 40,000 and the latest one has been made available at half the price. According to the company, the OnePlus Pad Go is packed with more memory and storage and also comes with a larger battery when compared to other tablets present in its price range. OnePlus Pad Go review: Price and variants

OnePlus Pad Go is available in three variants with a starting price of Rs 19,999. The base variant only supports WiFi and has 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. Then there are two LTE variants as well. For the same RAM and storage configuration, you will have to pay Rs 21,999 and if you are looking for a higher storage option, you can go for the 8GB + 256GB option that will set you back by Rs 23,999. Before I start the review, let me tell you that the OnePlus Pad Go supports support up to 1TB of additional external memory via microSD card. So going for the base LTE variant would surely be more economical.

OnePlus Pad Go review: In The Box

The OnePlus Pad Go comes with a Type-C Cable, the 33W SUPERVOOC Power Adapter and a SIM ejector along with some documents inside the box. So all the accessories such as the keyboard and the stylus will need to be purchased separately.

OnePlus Pad Go review: Design

The OnePlus Pad Go in Twin Mint shade looks good and the metal body finish gives it a premium look. The curved edges make the table more ergonomic and comfortable to hold. It weighs around 532 grams, slightly lighter than the more premium OnePlus Pad.

OnePlus Pad Go review: Display

The OnePlus Pad Go comes with 7.5mm bezels which are on the thicker side and offer an 86.40 per cent screen-to-body ratio. However, they are symmetrical and kind of create a dead zone which reduces accidental touches. The OnePlus Pad Go has an 11.35-inch LCD (LTPS) display which offers rich colours. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The touchscreen is quite responsive but 120Hz would have made it far better. It offers a peak brightness of 400nits. Overall, the display is quite nice.

Moreover, the tablet supports Dolby Atmos and has quad speakers that recreate good surround sound quality and enhance the overall experience of watching your favourite blockbusters and playing online games.

OnePlus Pad Go review: Performance and Software

OnePlus Pad Go is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. This is powerful enough to handle all your tasks. I didn't notice any lag while using the device for over two weeks. However, heavy gaming is something that is not possible for a long duration.

The OnePlus Pad Go runs on OxygenOS 13.2 which provides features like the ability to run multiple apps simultaneously, floating windows and others. Auto connect, multi-device collaboration, and screen mirroring are some of the other useful features. OnePlus has promised two major software updates.

OnePlus Pad Go review: Camera

The OnePlus Pad Go comes with 8MP front and rear cameras that are centrally aligned. The rear camera is quite protruding. Both cameras have average performance and can do basic jobs of video calling and clicking documents.

The OnePlus Pad God is equipped with an 8,000mAh battery. For regular usage, this is sufficient to run your device for more than one day. Also, a 33W charger can juice up the device from zero to 100 per cent in around two hours.

OnePlus Pad Go review: Verdict

The OnePlus Pad Go is quite a capable tablet and has been priced quite aggressively. It offers a decent display, good sound quality and performance is acceptable. However, it has some drawbacks as well. For instance, there is no 3.5mm audio jack and no fingerprint sensor as well. Despite all this, it is a value-for-money product.
