OPPO Reno8 T 5G comes with 8GB RAM and 128 storage option only. Also, there are two colour options - Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black. The one we reviewed is the former and its looks really cool - mainly because it changes colour with the change in angle.

OPPO Reno8 T 5G Review: Design and Display
Smartphones with curved edges are in vogue due to the ease with which they can be held in the hand. Also, at just 171 grams and 7.7mm thickness, this phone lacks heft and is extremely light and sleek. It has a plastic back and metal-finish frame, which looks elegant. I used OPPO Reno8 T 5G for a few weeks and did not encounter any fingerprint blemishes on the device. However, it is advisable to use cases for the device's safety.
On the back, we have a protruding camera bump, which is almost the norm on devices with large camera notches these days.
OPPO Reno8 T 5G has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers a peak brightness of 950 nits and a screen resolution of 1080X2412 pixels along with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is comfortable to use even under direct sunlight. Also, it boasts a 10-bit colour depth, which simply means the display is quite vibrant.

Be it watching movies or playing video games, the overall viewing experience of the device is quite good. The icing on the cake is its 93 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
The viewing experience is enhanced by excellent audio output, thanks to the stereo speaker set-up.
OPPO Reno8 T 5G Review: Battery and Charger
OPPO Reno8 T 5G comes with a 4,800mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging. The company claims that it has increased charge cycles to 1,600. This, according to OPPO, is double the industry average of just 800 recharges.
For daily usage, the battery can easily last for more than one day. Even if you watch movies regularly and play video games extensively, this device still has enough battery to last for the entire day.
OPPO Reno8 T 5G Review: Performance
OPPO Reno8 T 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC. While the device comes with 8GB RAM, it is equipped with RAM expansion technology that extends RAM by another 8GB on-demand. However, this will only be required during heavy gaming. Otherwise, the 8GB RAM is capable enough for everyday tasks. Also, it runs on Android 13 out of the box and features ColorOS 13 skin. We did notice some pre-installed bloatware.
I tried playing video games like Apex Legend and Crazy Car Racing with a satisfactory outcome. Bear in mind that the device is not one for hardcore mobile gamers, as the experience of playing graphics-intensive games on this device is underwhelming.
OPPO Reno8 T 5G Review: Camera
OPPO Reno8 T 5G has a triple camera setup at the rear with a primary camera of 108MP sensor. It is accompanied by a 2MP depth camera and a 2MP microsensor.
The device is capable of producing some good quality images, especially in bright outdoors. All images were crisp and vivid. However, the image quality could be more satisfactory in low-light conditions. For selfies, there is a 32MP sensor on the front. This too can create some good-quality images.
The 2MP micro sensor is highly efficient and you will rarely see any microlens camera highlighting such minute details. The above sample image clearly highlights every thread of the sweater I was wearing. However, one will rarely use this camera feature.
In terms of video, the double-view video recording can come really handy, especially for vloggers. Overall, it offers average videography quality.
OPPO Reno8 T 5G Review: Verdict
The OPPO Reno8 T can be a complete package for those looking to upgrade to a device that looks trendy, comes with a curved display, is easy to hold, can click some good photos and has good battery backup with a fast-charging option
