From the past two months, the Central Statistics Office (CSO) has been calculating IIP data in the new base year of 2011-12 from previous 2004-05 year.

Under the new base year (2011-12), IIP for the month of April 2017 stood at 3.1% on year-on-year basis. IIP was at 2.7% in the month of March 2017 as against a drop of 1.2% in February 2017.
