She defeated Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Kunwar Narendra Singh, who is the joint opposition candidate of the ‘mahagathbandhan’ in Uttar Pradesh. BJP has taken an unassailable lead in the Lok Sabha elections, and assured its return to power at centre.

Lok Sabha elections results 2019: There was a debate whether Modi factor will be able to lead the BJP to win in this Lok Sabha elections. Now, even as the counting is going on, it is certain that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is going to form government comfortably.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to become the premier once again with a massive victory against the opposition. Counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections is currently on. The final results are, however, expected only by late evening due to tallying of voter-verified paper audit trail slips with EVM count for the first time. Over 8,000 candidates were in the fray for 542 seats. As many as 67.11 per cent of the 90.99 crore electors had cast their vote in the seven-phase elections. This was the highest ever voter turnout in Indian parliamentarian elections. The BJP has established comfortable lead on 58 seats in Uttar Pradesh while the SP-BSP-RLD alliance is leading only on 21 seats.
