In 2021, BSE midcap and small cap indices outperformed the benchmarks with gains of around 38% and 61% respectively. In CY 2021, Barometer Nifty50 and the S&P BSE Sensex had clocked around 21% and 24% respectively.

Hitting a new life high at 25809.26 level intraday today, the majority of scrips in the BSE Small-Cap Index closed session with around 10 per cent gain today. Out of 30 scrips, 20 advanced with each rising 10 per cent and 10 declined with each falling over 5 per cent at the market end today.
