Gold price has been falling gradually for the last few sessions as rising economic expectations and inflation concerns vaulted benchmark US Treasury yields to their highest levels since the pandemic began, helping lift the dollar. Gold prices opened slightly lower on Thursday and fell further during most of the session to a low of Rs 46060. Hence, Sharekhan expects gold prices to remain weak towards Rs 45900 level in the short-term.

Gold prices opened flat on Tuesday and consolidated during most of the session in the range of | Rs 46700 – Rs 47000 levels. Prices remained supported in the last session as Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said the central bank would keep monetary policy accommodative as the US economy still needed support. Hence, ICICI Securities expect gold prices to recover further towards Rs 47500 level in the short-term.
The current spot price of Gold and Silver in Delhi markets was Rs 47,500 per 10 gm and Rs 70,800 per kg. Gold prices have corrected by around Rs 300 while Silver prices have come down by almost Rs 700 from the last reported levels on Tuesday, Expert Anuj Gupta said

Gold prices started Tuesday’s trade on a strong note opening higher with a gap and rose further during the first half of the session till a high of Rs 47480. However, prices did not sustain at higher levels and fell sharply during the remaining session till a low of Rs 46682.
