The weather department said there is a high probability that most parts of northeast India, east and central India, and some parts of northwest India will experience hotter summers during March to May.
India will experience above-normal temperatures during March-May, the Indian meteorological department said in its forecast. The Meteorological Department has predicted heat wave in the central, north-west regions. The IMD said that this was the highest temperature recorded in February since 1901.
