For the full year (FY22-23), South Indian Bank declared a net profit of Rs 775.09 crore, the highest ever in the history of the bank, it said.
Among individual stocks, Eicher Motors got off to a flying start as the stock jumped 6.8 per cent to hit a high of Rs 3,639.05 apiece on the BSE.
Max Health, Sona BLW, and HAL have been added to MSCI India Standard Index, while Indus Towers, Adani Transmission & Adani Total are excluded

The NSE's Nifty50 ended the session at 18,306.55, down 8.5 points, or 0.047 per cent.
L&T reported a 10 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 3,987 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2023. The consolidated revenue for the quarter, too, rose 10 per cent YoY to Rs 58,335 crore.
After opening in the green, the market turned flat amid selling in heavyweights such as L&T and Dr Reddy's as the companies failed to cheer investors with their March quarter numbers.
Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd on Wednesday reported multifold growth (996 per cent) in its consolidated profit after tax to Rs 959.2 crore due to a low base during the same quarter previous year.

Zomato stock price: Motilal Oswal further said that the delivery on ONDC apps is only free for the first order. In the case of a discounted /free delivery, this cost has to be borne by the restaurant (possibly to increase competitive advantage against incumbent duopoly) and is not sustainable.
Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) shares were upbeat after the company reported a strong set of numbers for the March quarter.

Kansai Nerolac on Monday reported over five-fold growth in its consolidated net profit to Rs 96.24 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2023. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 19.17 crore in the January-March period a year ago, Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd (KNPL) said in a regulatory filing.

At close, the 30-share index of BSE stood at 61,054.29, down 695 points, or 1.13 per cent while the NSE's Nifty ended at 18,067.75, down 188.05, or 1.03 per cent.
For the March quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 72.6 crore, up 57.6 per cent year-on-year (YoY) against Rs 46.1 crore logged in the year-ago period.
The S&P BSE Sensex traded over 300 points lower at 61,446.19 levels while the NSE's Nifty quoted at 18,176.45, down 79 points.
Stocks to watch today: Tata Power Company on May 4 recorded a 48.5 per cent year-on-year growth in consolidated profit at Rs 938.8 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2023.
