Bank holidays in September 2023, Bank holidays this month: Branches of commercial banks, both public and private, will remain closed for an additional 18 days in September on account of certain holidays in different states, including the second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays.
Types of bank holidays
The RBI categorises bank holidays into three categories:
Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act
Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and real-time gross settlement Holidays
Banks’ closing of accounts.
