On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, devotees wake up early in the morning and take a bath. After that, they place a picture of Lord Ram and Mother Sita on a yellow cloth in the place of worship and keep a picture of Hanuman ji. After this, they light a lamp and offer water, roli, akshat, vermilion, flowers, flower garland, incense, sacred thread, clothes, etc., to deities, and read Sunderkand and Hanuman Chalisa.
If possible, they recite the Akhand Ramayana at home. If it is not possible, then they chant the name of Lord Ram, and sing hymns of Hanuman ji and Shri Ram. They end the puja with an aarti.
It should be noted that offering chola (Cloth) to Lord Hanuman on this day is also considered very auspicious.
