Navroz 2023: United Nations has declared the festival as an international holiday as it is being celebrated by over 300 million people across the globe.

Navroz 2023: The word Navroz comes from two 'Nav' and 'Roz'. 'Nav' in Persian stands for ‘new’ while ‘Roz’ means ‘day’ which literally translates to ‘new day’.

Navroz 2023: Google Doodle on Wednesday, 21 March is celebrating the Iranian New Year, Nowroz. Nowroz marks the beginning of the spring season. Families across the globe decorate their homes with spring flowers - hyacinths, daffodils, tulips, and bee orchids. Nowroz is celebrated with great pomp and shows in the main Middle East, the South Caucasus, the Black Sea Basin, and Northern, Western, Central, and South Asia"
