The highlight of the IPL auction were Aussie quicks. Australian skipper Pat Cummins was bought by SunRisers Hyderabad for Rs 20.50 crore, making him the most expensive player in IPL history (for a few minutes), until his compatriot Mitchell Starc was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 24.75 crore, breaking the record for the most expensive player.

RCB only managed three players - Alzarri Joseph for Rs 11.50 crore, Tom Curran for Rs 1.5 crore and Yash Dayal for Rs 5 crore. RCB has brought in one Indian player and two foreign players and filled 22 of the slots available to them.
