Green growth Government is targeting 5 MT of Green Hydrogen production by 2030, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today said while presenting Budget 2023 -- her last full budget of the Narendra Modi 2.0 government before the general elections scheduled next year.
The Budget2023 adopts 7 Priorities which acts as Saptarshis guiding through Amrit Kaal, the FM said while reading her budget speech. Green growth will be one of its priorities apart from other priorities including Inclusive development, Reaching last mile, Infrastructure & investment, unleashing potential, Youth Power, Financial Sector.

"We are implementing programs like green fuel, green energy etc. for efficient use of energy across economic sectors These green growth efforts help in reducing carbon intensity of economy & provide large scale job opportunities," the Finance Minister said.
