Mirabai Chanu brought smile on the faces of the Indians with Silver medal in weightlifting category on Day 1 itself. 5.30 AM - Shooting: 10 m Air Pistol Mixed Team Qualification Stage 1 - Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary, Yashaswini Deswal and Abhisekh Verma

Result: ANI report states Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary progressed to the second qualification stage after registering a total score of 582. The pair finished at the first spot while Yashaswini Deswal and Abhisekh Verma bowed out after finishing at 17th spot.

6.15 AM - Shooting: 10 m Air Pistol Mixed Team Qualification Stage 2

Result: According to an ANI report, the pair of Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary failed to qualify for the medal match after finishing the qualification stage 2 at seventh spot. The pair shot a total of 380 in the second qualification stage.
