Mercedes-Benz launches two new E-Class variants starting at Rs 56.15 lakh

From its launch, this business sedan will be ‘Made in India, for India’, said the company.

Luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz on Tuesday announced the launch of the first ever right hand drive (RHD) long wheelbase (LWB) version of the new E-Class luxury business sedan. From its launch, this business sedan will be ‘Made in India, for India’. The E 200 is priced at Rs 56.15 lakh and E 350 d is priced at Rs 69.47 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

With over 13 million units sold globally, the E-Class sedan and Estate are the best-selling vehicles for Mercedes-Benz. The new LWB E-Class was launched by Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

India becomes the only country in the world to offer the right hand drive long wheelbase version of the new E-Class, and it took almost 48 months to develop this masterpiece from scratch. The new E 350d 2,987cc V6 engine which displaces a power of 258HP and torque of 620Nm. The E 200 comes with a 1991cc In-line/4 engine which displaces a power of 184HP and torque of 300Nm.
