Tata Motors group global sales rise 8% in January-March 2023 — check out Jaguar, Land Rover sales
Tata Motors global sales: The Tata group auto giant — which owns UK-based luxury carmaker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) — said global sales of Jaguar Land Rover stood at 1,07,386 vehicles in the January-March 2023 period, comprising 15,499 units of Jaguar and 91,887 units of Land Rover.
Tata Motors — the Tata group auto major that owns British luxury carmaker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) — on Friday reported group global wholesales of 3,61,361 vehicles in the quarter ended March 2023. The figure included sales of Jaguar Land Rover, whose popular models include Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Sport, Discovery Sport and Jaguar F-PACE.
The quarterly sales marked an increase of eight per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, according to a company statement.
Tata Motors said global wholesales of its passenger vehicles (PVs) stood at 1,35,654 vehicles in the three-month period, including electric vehicles (EVs), marking growth of 10 per cent compared with the year-ago period.

Tata Motors domestic sales
Last week, Tata Motors reported sales of 44,044 passenger vehicles in the domestic market in March 2023, an increase of 4.1 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago. The sales fell short of analysts' estimates.
Its total commercial vehicle (CV) sales, however, declined 0.5 per cent to 46,823 units.
According to Zee Business research, Tata Motors' domestic passenger vehicle sales were estimated at 47,000 and commercial vehicles at 45,000.
Tata Motors reported total sales of 86,718 vehicles in the domestic market, up three per cent on a year-on-year basis.
