Final Trade: Why did the stock market slip on expiry? Sensex closed down 440 points

Stock Market: Strong action was seen in the stock market on the day of weekly expiry. There was a sharp decline in the market from the upper levels, while the market opened strongly in the morning. BSE Sensex fell 440 points to close at 66,266, while the index opened at 66,834 in the morning. Similarly, the Nifty fell 118 points to close at 19,659.
