Venkatesh Prabhu, better known by his stage name Dhanush, turned 40 on July 28, 2023. Actor Dhanush is accredited with a long list of critically-acclaimed films in Tamil as well as Hindi cinema. He is also a producer, a lyricist and a playback singer.  

Dhanush started his career as an actor in 2002 with 'Thulluvadho Ilamai', directed by his father, Kasthuri Raja. He achieved further success in 'Polladhavan' and 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini', both of which were commercially successful. 

Dhanush appeared in 25 films over the next 10 years, making his Hindi debut in 'Raanjhanaa' in 2013.
