Lionel Messi, the star striker for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), will depart the French club in early June, according to PSG manager Christophe Galtier, who also noted that he had the privilege of "coaching the best player in the history of football."

As reported by Goal.com, Galtier was quoted as saying, "I had the privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. It will be Leo's last match at the Parc des Princes against Clermont." The match will be played at 12:30 am on June 4.

This occurs at a time when Messi is rumoured to be receiving a high-paying offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, which may allow him to compete against Cristiano Ronaldo, who is presently playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.

Messi also has the option of returning to the Spanish club Barcelona, with which he spent nearly 18 years before joining PSG in 2021. According to Goal.com, the 35-year-old might also consider his chances of going to the English Premier League (EPL).

Messi has been in excellent form this year. In Ligue 1, he has contributed 16 goals and 16 assists. He was a crucial player for PSG, helping them win their record-breaking 11th Ligue 1 title. Messi's unapproved travel to Saudi Arabia earlier this season, which also led to his brief suspension from the team, is probably the reason for his move there.
